On Sunday 17th April, a very bright and sunny day, 20 or so volunteers gathered at the village hall for the announced Village Litter Pick and to collect their pickers, Hi-Viz jackets, and sundry large bin bags. The Social Club had made the arrangements and South Norfolk provided the equipment.

Men, women and children dispersed along the four main roads of Wreningham to retrieve the litter dropped along the roadsides. An hour or so later, when all had returned, there were 11 bags of landfill and 10 bags of recyclables. South Norfolk collected them on Monday. Three fly-tipping locations were identified and reported for South Norfolk to deal with. The Social Club prepared a splendid spread of  filled rolls in the Margaret Preston Room. Everyone enjoyed the stroll around the village and supported the idea of coming back next year for Village Litter Pick 2017.

Thanks to everyone who helped put this event together and especial thanks to the volunteers giving up a small part of their weekend for the village.
