The Norfolk Association of Local Councils (NALC) have written saying “People are living longer, our population is getting older and the type of care that people need is changing. Our GPs, hospitals and social care services therefore need to change too. We want to talk with you about the big challenges our health and social care services face, because any changes to services will impact on the residents living in your town or parish. It’s important that you share your views with us now because Norfolk and Waveney’s health and social care services have to create a plan for tackling these challenges, which will eventually result in changes to services.”
Presumably Norfolk & Waveney have a good idea of what the issues are, but are inviting views on priorities, scope, strategies & tactics. Hence the meeting being organised by NALC for town and parish councils on 21st September. We hope to send a representative.
Do you, as a Wreningham resident, have a view which you want to share for this meeting? If so, please e-mail it to the Clerk (clerkwpc
The centre is looking for volunteers to commit to 2 – 3 hours on a weekly or fortnightly basis to support the clinicians and staff:
Administration Volunteer – to assist with tasks such as monitoring and maintaining the supply of patient booklets, and collating patient information packs.
Volunteer Driver – to provide transport for patients who find it difficult to access the centre for appointments at the Thursday leg clinic.
Pool Car Assistant Volunteer – to monitor the service history of three vehicles, take them for checks as required, monitor and maintain stock levels of the vehicle equipment and ensure a good level of cleanliness.
Volunteering can be very rewarding, whether it be a chance to try something new which may lead to a career change or the personal satisfaction of knowing you are helping patients.
You will be supported as a volunteer by staff at the Centre and the volunteer coordinator. Full training is provided and all out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
For more information call Jules on 01603 272336, or email volunteering@nchc.nhs.uk or visit the web site here.
From an e-mail received by the Parish Council:
My name is Daniel Hartgrove and it is my role to manage the Lotus test track and Driving Academy.
We have had a number of noise complaints lately. We are very aware of the impact that the noise has on local residents and therefore we measure noise levels at the beginning of the day to ensure nothing on track will exceed 105db. This is in keeping with track regulations which are enforced at Snetterton and most UK circuits.
Track events over the next 4 weekends are:
Saturday 13th August – MLR Sprint track event
Sunday 14th August – LDA Exige Experience
Saturday 20th August – LDA Elise Experience
Sunday 21st August – LDA corporate Event
Friday 26th August – LDA Level 1
Saturday 27th August – LDA Level 2
Sunday 28th August – LDA Level 3
The track will be in use for the duration of the day between the hours of 9am & 5pm with a scheduled lunch break of 1hr. These times maybe subject to change due to the running order of the days.
If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Comments to SNC Planning department by 26 August 2016
Letter from SNC about this application 2016/1831
South Norfolk Council has changed the way it manages the public consultation process for planning applications:
- First, it will not extend the consultation period if asked to do so by a Parish Council. In the past, when an application was received between Parish Council’s scheduled meetings, we would request a extension of the response deadline.
- Second, the planning application site notice, often pinned close by for all to see, may not be placed at all.
- Third, it will restrict sending a notification to immediate neighbours only.
- Fourth, it will maintain the 21 day period of public consultation.
Wreningham Parish Council is reviewing and changing its internal procedure for commenting on planning applications. One action we are considering is to posting a comment with link(s) on this website to inform you of an application as a means to increase the opportunity for interested public comment to SNC.
The attached notice provides for the public to inspect the Parish Council accounts to 31st March 2016. Please contact the Clerk for details.
