Community Action Norfolk is working with Norfolk County Council and Insight Track on the Total Transport project. The initial pilot area includes the Breckland and South Norfolk districts, so if you live, work, or travel around these areas, we’re particularly interested in hearing from you.

As part of this project, this piece of research is being carried out to find out about your travel needs and how you access travel information.  Your feedback will be analysed and reported to Norfolk County Council in early August and will guide the County Council in designing a future travel information portal.

This survey will take around 10-15 minutes to complete.  Your views and opinions are greatly valued and will enable us to best meet your needs into the future. Please click here to take part.  The deadline for the survey is 10th July.

If you are a carer you are welcome to complete this survey on behalf of the person you care for.

On Sunday 17th April, a very bright and sunny day, 20 or so volunteers gathered at the village hall for the announced Village Litter Pick and to collect their pickers, Hi-Viz jackets, and sundry large bin bags. The Social Club had made the arrangements and South Norfolk provided the equipment.

Men, women and children dispersed along the four main roads of Wreningham to retrieve the litter dropped along the roadsides. An hour or so later, when all had returned, there were 11 bags of landfill and 10 bags of recyclables. South Norfolk collected them on Monday. Three fly-tipping locations were identified and reported for South Norfolk to deal with. The Social Club prepared a splendid spread of  filled rolls in the Margaret Preston Room. Everyone enjoyed the stroll around the village and supported the idea of coming back next year for Village Litter Pick 2017.

Thanks to everyone who helped put this event together and especial thanks to the volunteers giving up a small part of their weekend for the village.

Horseriding: Only riders with permission can use the path around the wood. Please contact Rachael on 07742 368246 for more information.

Although PCSO Sore regularly reports that Wreningham is a low crime area we are not without some incidents. The Police system has a record of three crimes in November and December:

  • TFMV (Theft from Motor Vehicle), 31/12/15 – 02/01/16. Items taken from an insecure (unlocked) parked and unattended car parked on village hall car park.
  • Theft Other, 21/11/15 – 01/12/15.  Theft of heating oil from a property on Mill Lane.
  • Theft Other, 10/01/16 – 11/01/16. Theft of large quantity of solar panes from farm on Wymondham Rd that were insecurely stored awaiting installation.

This is just a reminder to stay alert, secure your house, car and belongings to minimise the risk of an opportunist theft.  PCSO Sore is always available to help advise on steps which you might take.
