The carriageway/roundabout works were planned to complete on Friday 18th September and the B1135 to open for traffic. However a section of the surfacing has failing inspection at the junction of B1135 and Hethel Road and on the roundabout itself. Hence:
- The B1135 will be have a small diversion around the back of Hethel Engineering and onto Potash Lane until the remedial surfacing is completed
- Hethel Road will remain closed over this weekend (19/20 September) for the resurfacing work.
- It is hoped that it will be open on Monday 21st but if not the Wymondham High School bus will be allowed access for pick up & drop offs
- 2-way lights will be in place on the B1135 from Tuesday 22nd for re-surfacing part of the roundabout.
Further work is still to be done. SNC’s project manager, Amanda Rashid, advises that Jackson’s will be on site until the end of the year. They will be closing Potash Lane and doing landscaping works with two way lights on Wymondham road (B1135) for the first few weeks:
- 18 September-12 October – 2-way lights on Wymondham Road & Potash Lane for junction works
- 12 October-30 November – Demobilisation & Landscaping
- 01 December-15 December – Post Completion Activities (Handover and H&S File)
