Big Garden Birdwatch

Over 590,000 people in the Uk took part in Big Garden Birdwatch 2025. There are 38 million fewer birds in the UK skies compared to 60 years ago. With birds facing so many challenges, it’s more important than ever to get involved in the Birdwatch. The details you provide from just 1 hour of observation give the RSPB a valuable insight into how garden birds are doing.

Register for the 2026 Big Garden Birdwatch here. You can also download the results of the 2025 survey on the same site. Advice and guidance is available too e.g. a bird recognition chart to help you identify the birds in your garden.
