South Norfolk Council has changed the way it manages the public consultation process for planning applications:

  • First, it will not extend the consultation period if asked to do so by a Parish Council. In the past, when an application was received between Parish Council’s scheduled meetings, we would request a extension of the response deadline.
  • Second, the planning application site notice, often pinned close by for all to see, may not be placed at all.
  • Third, it will restrict sending a notification to immediate neighbours only.
  • Fourth, it will maintain the 21 day period of public consultation.

Wreningham Parish Council is reviewing and changing its internal procedure for commenting on planning applications. One action we are considering is to posting a comment with link(s) on this website to inform you of an application as a means to increase the opportunity for interested public comment to SNC.
